Prosthetic dentures on implants - so-called superstructures - are crowns, bridges or dental prostheses that are anchored on implants.
These are divided into two parts and consist, on the one hand, of the abutment (here white), which is made of ceramic or titanium and is screwed into the implant. On the other hand, they consist of the respective crown / bridge - which are fastened with cement or also screwed.
Implant restorations offer a good alternative for individual tooth loss. Often the neighboring teeth are ground unnecessarily in order to close the gap with a bridge. This no longer has to be done using an implant in the gap, the neighboring teeth are spared.
Even if all teeth are lost, the implant restorations offer a much better hold than a conventional prosthesis.
